Organic Durban Gorilla from The Green Organic Dutchman is a cross of Ethos Glue and Mimosa, grown in a greenhouse and available in 15g format at the SQDC. According to the descriptions, Durban Gorilla promises aromas reminiscent of fruity cereals and strong indica effects. With an impressive jar, I can’t wait to see if the effects will be as heavy as the packaging.
I hadn’t gone back to TGOD since their Organic Cherry Mints, which really opened my eyes to other types of sativas. With this Durban Gorilla, from what I’ve read online, I expect a pretty strong indica. First impression of the 15g jar: it’s huge, way too big. The buds are smaller than expected, aside from two MONSTER BUDS. The smell is subtle at first, but once ground, it opens up with fruity, creamy aromas, reminiscent of Viking Milk, and a punch of pine. It burns great: the first puffs are smooth, then it hits harder—I can really feel that 30% kick. Effects-wise, a heaviness sets in quickly, with a relaxing pressure that settles gently on the forehead (headband effect). Back inside, I’m shuffling like a zombie, brushing against walls. Time to head to the basement, hoodie stuffed with the kids’ Halloween candy. I have a feeling I won’t be staying up late tonight.
A nice surprise from TGOD, and a big thank you to u/JulienTremblaze on Reddit for the recommendation. This Organic Durban Gorilla, especially at this price, is easy to recommend for solid indica lovers or anyone looking for a quality organic option.
